The Future of Hair Transplant Services

When you look here and there, you will have to observe at least one or two individuals affected with hair loss. Female pattern hair loss or male pattern hair loss is greatly due to genetics, but some other contributors are eating habits and pollution shouldn’t be ignored. Alopecia is increasingly affecting males and females starting from the youths. It is estimated that alopecia percentage is 3% globally.

Hair loss treatments include surgical and non-surgical methods. Rogaine, Finasteride, and therapies are the non-surgical treatments used. Cases where a man or a woman is left with visible patches or with almost a bare scalp, a hair transplant comes in.  It was estimated in 2014 that 400,000 were performed in the whole world and patients seeking for hair transplant procedures are increasing at a high rate.

A hair transplant in Canada is performed by a specialist who harvests individual hair follicles from the donor area to the recipient area. There are basically two types of hair transplant procedures FUE and FUT though technology has made them less invasive and fruitful.

In the FUT, the surgeon removes a strip of hair from the back or side of the scalp and will dissect it to get individual hair follicles which are implanted into the bald region. In the case of FUE, there is no need of dissection since hair follicles are individually harvested from the donor area and fixed into the recipient area.

The post-surgery side-effects which include swelling and bruising fade with time.
